Work and Holiday Visa Programmes for Australia and Singapore

Work and Holiday Visa programmes are very popular among young people across many countries. It provides an opportunity to travel, live and work abroad while exploring different cultures. Most popular destinations for Work and Holiday Visa programmes for quite some time are Australia and Canada.

Australia has long history in Work and Holiday Visa programmes and very welcoming country for the many tourists and foreign visitors. It has 39 partnering countries in this programme and it continues to make it more popular and growing its partnership network.

The Australian border control has announced a new partner for its Work and Holiday Visa programme. Together with Singapore both countries will exchange young people between 18-30 years of age giving them opportunity to live, travel and work for a period of up to 1 year. The visa holders must have high school diploma or university degree. For Singaporeans IELTS test score should be 4.5 and have to find a job from a specific list of occupations.

Both countries aim to improve the business and tourism relations between them. Annually there are more than 200 000 tourists from Singapore visiting Australia. It is clear that both countries have mutual interest to find a way for easier and more flexible visa control. Along with the WHV programme Australian border control has announced a new six year visa for Singaporean passport holders. It allows the holder to visit Australia for business or tourism staying for up to 90 days at a time. 

 

Singapore is also famous tourist and business destination with exotic culture and cousin. It has also vary luxurious hotels and resorts. It is paradise for gamblers as well. In return Singapore is planning to implement similar to the Work and Holiday Visa programme for Australian citizens. Annually there are about 1 million Australian passport holders visiting Singapore for business or tourism.
